Harvest Espresso - Victoria Park

Harvest Espresso is one of those rare joints that you really want to go to but hesitate simply because you don't know whether or not you'll have to wait for a table. It's a very small space but they use it well and what it lacks in room, it makes up for in efficient, friendly service and a good feed.

I've left this review a bit late, what with life distracting me the way it does (or maybe I just procrastinate too much!) but I knew I had to share the experience. I'll just get to the point... the food!

I love seasonal menus. Most good eateries in Perth will change it up when it starts cooling down or warming up and this means a lot of variety and exploration for people like myself. It's like discovering a café or restaurant all over again! I originally wanted to visit to try the Riz au Lait (chilled rice pudding) on their winter menu but told myself to go savoury and chose the mushroom omelette.

The Mushroom Omelette was lovely, with a gooey, cheesy center and well cooked, flavoursome veggies throughout. It may look somewhat lonely on the plate but, rest assured, all the good stuff was packed inside resulting in a very satisfying dish.

My coffee was a Long Mac (topped up of course) and it was flavoursome and smooth.

This was not my first visit to Harvest Espresso and it won't be my last. Located in the heart of Victoria Park, it's an easy commute than trudging into the city and I have yet to walk away disappointed. The friendly staff and the consistently good coffee make it a pleasure to visit, I can only hope that each time I visit, I'm fortunate enough to nab a table quickly.
